To make our products, IRT uses a highly automated process that incorporates computer-integrated material mixing, kinetic energy melting, hydraulic presses and material transfer conveyors.

It all begins when bales of raw material from post-consumer and industrial waste sources are sent through our proprietary size-reduction process to create a uniform granulated stock. Next, we place the material into separate storage systems to prepare for the blending process.

We mix each blend and process it through a Kinetic Energy Melter, where the material is converted into molten resin. Computer automation controls the blend ratios. Finally, we use a compression-molding press to cure and press the recycled plastic into compound curves, straight radii, flat stock, and complex engineered forms.
